SEA-Tech Research & Develpment is hosted at the heart of the prestigious National Maritime Colege of Ireland. Our "wet lab" is the theatre of technical experiments which often precede seaboard tests. The National Maritime College is situated on former Department of Defence land in Ringaskiddy, County Cork, and opened to students in 2004. Since 2012, SEA-Tech has designed and maintained a series of courses attended by Electro Technical Officers (ETO) and Marine Electronic Service Engineers primarily.

SEA-Tech is part of the Irish Maritime Energy Research Cluster. The IMERC initiative comes at the dawn of a new era for maritime Ireland, stimulated by the growing realisation of the economic opportunities around maritime and energy, and in particular with regard to marine renewables.
